About Thejes

I am a recent physics graduate from the University of Oxford and I am currently working for a quantum physics start up.

I have a strong passion for teaching because I have experienced firsthand the impact effective tutoring can have on students' confidence and academic performance. I take great satisfaction in helping students achieve their potential, whether they are struggling with foundational concepts or preparing for competitive exams. My motivation stems from a desire to make challenging subjects more accessible and engaging, guiding students to not only master the material but also develop a genuine appreciation for the subject. I aim to empower students to reach their full potential by fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

I have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring, particularly in the subjects of Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Further Maths at the GCSE and A-Level standards. Since October 2021, I have been working as an online tutor, where I have successfully guided over 10 long-term students through their exam preparation, helping them achieve their target grades or better. Additionally, since January 2020, I established an online tuition service during the lockdown to meet the growing demand for tutoring. I have worked with a diverse group of students, including international Oxbridge candidates, helping them prepare for entrance exams and conducting mock interviews.

My approach to tutoring is focused on building confidence and teaching effective study techniques and stress management methods. I aim to make lessons engaging and sustainable, ensuring that students remain motivated throughout their learning journey. My experience at Oxford University, where I studied Physics, has further enhanced my ability to teach complex topics, including preparation for specialised exams like the PAT (Physics Aptitude Test) and ENGAA.
