About Natalie
My name is Natalie Thorson, I am 22 years old and just graduated from Michigan State with a degree in Neuroscience. I am passionate about reading, learning, and focusing on having a growth mindset. In my free time, I run, water-ski, and play guitar. I have nannied middle school and high school-aged kids for over 5 years now, which has entailed tutoring as well.

The only way to excel in a class is to understand the why behind the content rather than simple memorization; I aim to break difficult topics into manageable concepts. The key is to go through the learning objectives from the course, engage with as many practice problems as needed, and handwrite notes to encourage encoding of the information in the student's brain. I just finished my degree, so I understand the struggle of finding study habits that work. I will tailor the tutoring sessions to the individual student and learn what works for them.
