About Carter
I am a recent mathematics graduate from a top 20 in the world university for the subject. As well as having a deep understanding and lots of experience, I am truly passionate about learning. I am fascinated by the process, be that in an academic subject or a language.
I have lots of experience of communicating mathematics, both verbally (for example during organised sessions helping A-level maths students at sixth form) and in written form (in a large essay on an advanced topic during my second year of university).

As a tutor I can guide learning, help with problems, or explain the difficult topics. Most importantly I can impart my experience of learning at all levels. I have a strong philosophy of what works and what doesn’t, informed by years of trial and error. I really believe in examples and exercises, you don’t truly know something until you’ve seen and used it in context.
My lessons are for maths students at any level.
A typical lesson would be about an hour long, but of course I am flexible.
