About Daley

I studied at Bishop Vesey's Grammar School for my secondary school years, where I completed 2 maths-related GCSE's. Normal Maths and Further Maths. I never had the greatest teacher in my time there, but I found myself loving maths in every way, there is something so satisfying about working out a problem that to this day, still makes me happy.
I then attended Parkhall Academy for my sixth-form years where I continued with Maths for A-level, and also took Physics on the side. They entwined with each other perfectly, especially when it came down to statistics.
That was the end of my maths career however as I ended up studying Law at Birmingham City University, which to my dismay, was something that I wasn't happy with in the end.
That is when I decided to move up north to a town called Loftus, and complete a Master's degree in data analysis at Teesside University, which utilises a wide range of maths and computers and much, much more.
However, as much as I love maths, my real passion is teaching. I would love for my students to love maths just as much as I do, and if not, for them to at least be able to use maths in real-world applications.
Maths is in every part of our daily lives, from rent and taxes, to the amount a certain ingredient is used in baking. It would be an honour to teach these skills to younger minds.

I was never a big fan of school or education, when I was younger I was quite a rebel. It was actually my maths A-level teacher who sat me down and told me I was meant for greater things, and that has always stuck with me to this day. A tutor doesn't just have to be a teacher, they can also be a friend.

There is no such thing as a bad student, neither is there such thing as a bad teacher. The truth is that education and learning is built on a strong teacher-student relationship. If you do not enjoy a lesson, then the information goes in 1 ear, and comes out the other.
I believe that every student should be treated individually and uniquely as an individual, and that a teaching style should be adjusted so the the student feels comfortable, safe and happy. I sole-heartedly believe that maths should be used for real world applications, and that it can't be learned from simply reading from a book, or listening to a teacher do nothing but talk for an hour.

Lessons will be a minimum of 1 hour and can last up to 3 hours if that is required. This can be discussed beforehand, or even on the day.

During my own A-levels is when I started tutoring, helping the younger students pass their GCSE's and even younger students get used to the big change of year 7 maths. After attending university I then turned to also tutoring A-level maths as it was something I was really passionate about. It is now a government requirement too which makes the need for maths ever so higher.
With 5 years experience and knowledge at my disposable, I can guarantee good grades.

Lessons come in a wide variety; ranging from SAT level, year 7-9 level, GCSE level and also A-level.
