About Irina
I recently completed Year 13 at Roedean School as an international student. I have taken part in competitions, achieving
- Silver ('26) and Bronze ('25) in the Chemistry Olympiad
- Silver ('25) in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge
Outside academics, I enjoy swimming (especially sea swimming), playing piano, and taking part in different sports - netball, running.
I enjoy teaching because I find it genuinely rewarding to help someone understand something they were struggling with and see their confidence grow as a result.

My lessons focus on:
- Understanding chemical concepts rather than relying on memorisation
- Breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps
- Making connections between different areas of Chemistry
- Using diagrams, mechanisms and examples to make concepts easier to visualise
- Practising exam-style questions and applying knowledge to unfamiliar contexts
I want my lessons to be a space where you can ask any question without feeling like you “should already know” the answer.
