About Sheila

As a recent secondary school graduate, I am looking to pass on my skills and experience to those in need of a small push to ensure they achieve their desired grades. My experience in teaching includes mentoring younger students in both of my secondary school and sixth form college. However, I believe the standard of education I was fortunate enough to have enjoyed at both the Tiffin Girls School and Twyford Church of England High School have provided me with the attitude, skills and discipline required of students to ensure they make the very best of their education. As I await the start of a brand new chapter of my own life at university, I am keen to pass on my tips, skills and experience to students with specific goals they have in mind to teach.

My lessons will be crafted and adapted to my students' exam board with my key aim being to help my students achieve their specific aims. As a professional tutor, I wish to teach mainly GCSE and A-level Students in History, English Literature and Drama and Theatre Studies. That being said, I would also be interested in teaching younger students who might perhaps need an extra boost at primary school. I am willing to travel around the West London area but would mostly prefer to teach remotely.

I am more than willing to answer any questions to parents who might think that I would make a difference in their child's education.

About the lesson

Having had previous experience in tutoring as a secondary school mentor, my key approach to teaching is mainly through mastering revision technique that I specifically structure around my subjects. My own A-level qualifications (A*AA in History, English Literature and Drama and Theatre Studies) prove my revision strategies to be highly effective in achieving my desired grades.

Students can expect from 1 to 2 hours of teaching per session but I ask that our first session to be 2 hours long so that I can go through the student's goals as well as my own teaching style and answer any questions that both parent and student may have.

I am currently looking to teach History, English Literature and Drama at both GCSES and A-level levels but am also keen on teaching RS and English language at GCSE Level as well as English and Maths at KS4 level.

I am willing to travel within 5 miles around my own home in the West London area but am otherwise looking to teach remotely.
