About Chloe

I'm an organized, patient, and understanding person, who treats everyone with kindness. If you were to turn my yearbook into a word cloud, the three words that would stand out would be: smart, funny, and kind. While I love a good grade as much as anyone, I also find joy in understanding. And ultimately, I believe this is what helps you the most in the end. Sharing this joy I find in learning is a passion of mine - I love to see others thrive. Sharing my notes throughout high school was always something I was more than willing to do if I thought it would help :)

About the lesson

Helping others to learn has always a passion of mine. Informally, I have spent a lot of time helping my friends over the past two years as we all took on the IB together. I also help my younger siblings with their work. On the more formal side, I have worked with younger students in my school, running clubs which focus on problem solving abilities.

Through these experiences, I've learned to adapt to needs. For example, helping my younger sibling with ADHD is very different to helping my neurotypical younger sibling. I've also improved my patience and understanding.

A typical lesson from me would probably be an hour long but this is very flexible depending on the needs of the student. My lessons are targeted to anyone in the IBDP (ESS SL, English HL/SL, Psychology HL/SL, History HL/SL, Maths AI SL), MYP, or in NCEA Level 1 (Maths, English, History, Geography) in which I got 108 Excellence credits overall.

Note: I always refer back to the marking criteria when teaching as I understand that knowing what the marker wants is important :)
