About Ashley
I am a recent master's graduate in biology, with a strong background in math, statistics, and chemistry. I have received awards for my oral communication skills and in the 2 years I have been teaching at the college level I have excelled at communicating complicated concepts clearly to my students. I have also done a great deal of science outreach, during which I educated small children and families on scientific concepts and conservation.

I create tutoring plans based on the needs of students and around their schedule. Once the student and I have worked out what specific areas we need to work on, I independently research and design a plan to get us to that goal. I create what is essentially a curriculum for the student to follow with me, and we break it up into primary topics from which I base my lesson plans for the day, week, or whatever interval a client prefers. I try to tailor practice problems to those that the student is most likely to encounter in their personal academic journey. My specialty is college or high school level Biology, but I am knowledgeable in chemistry, math, and statistics as well and can accommodate learners as young as 12.
