About Maximo
As a graduate of Syracuse University (2024), where I earned a BSc in Economics and Applied Mathematics, I bring over a year and a half of tutoring experience to help you succeed. During my time there, I worked as a tutor for student-athletes supporting them in the following courses: statistics, calculus I & II, accounting, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and introductory writing courses. My previous tutoring experience allowed me to hone my ability to simplify complex concepts, improve academic performance, and adapt different learning styles for unique needs. I am a strong believer in that practice is the foundation to mastering mathematics and am well versed in students' individual needs for teaching. My academic journey includes completing my degree in just 2 years after transferring from the College of the Holy Cross in MA. Demonstrating my commitment and determination to achieving my goals. Currently, I am available whenever you need, ready to guide you every step of the way to academic success.

I believe that successful tutoring begins with understanding a student's individual needs. In my experience working with student-athletes I have established a practice of allowing the student to essentially lead the lesson. Beginning each session by asking the student where they feel most comfortable and where they would like to improve most. Integrating information about the student's personal style into teaching the material is a core principle of my tutoring. I have found much success with previous students when allowing the lesson to have a less rigorous timeline, and instead analyzing where the student needs help first.
