About Monica
I have an undergraduate degree in Environment and Urban Sustainability. In addition, I recently spent the summer in Montreal to strengthen my French language skills. I have professional experiences working in the public and private sectors with non-profits. I worked with youth between the ages of 4 to 17 years old with the YMCA and through other tutoring experiences. Also, I have actually briefly taught youth on environmental education in Nunavut, Canada (to a community right above the Arctic circle)!

My strongest skill is adaptability and I like to apply that with my teaching methods. I really like to go out of my way to learn how an individual obtains knowledge and then adapt my teaching methods to their needs. In some cases that includes creating visuals in advance, sharing anecdotes or experiential learning.
