About Aashna
During my sophomore and junior year at UCLA, I was part of a club called Project Literacy in which I traveled to libraries every week and helped elementary school children (1st grade through 6th grade) with reading and writing. I worked directly with students who needed additional assistance and felt as though they were behind in school by assisting them individually as well as leading small focus groups. I am aware that each student learns at a different pace and requires a specific teaching style to gain an understanding of the material. I hope to cater to each student's learning style through familiarization and instill confidence in them so that they are able to master all future material.
