About Sofia
I am currently studying Law at the London School of Economics (LSE), with the long-term goal of becoming a corporate solicitor. I graduated in 2025 and completed the IB Diploma, studying History, Economics, and English at Higher Level, with Spanish, ESS and Maths at Standard Level. Alongside the IB, I also studied German and Spanish further, with the aim of achieving high-level qualifications, and I am currently working towards additional language certifications. Outside academics, I volunteered weekly at a care home, played football for my school and tennis, and I remain a huge sports fan who loves following live sporting events. I am also an Italian national and have been living in the UK for around three years, which I have really enjoyed. I value being able to divide my time between family and friends in both countries, and that international background is a big part of who I am.

I teach in a focused, supportive, and practical way, combining traditional tutoring (clear explanations, step-by-step teaching, and regular practice) with smart study strategies that help students succeed without unnecessary stress. Having completed the IB recently with a perfect 45, I understand exactly what the programme demands and how to manage it well. Alongside the IB, I balanced two languages, sports, weekly volunteering, and competitive applications to top UK universities, while still making time for friends, family, and life across different countries. That experience means I can help students not only understand the content, but also apply it effectively in exams, which is often the most important challenge. My lessons are usually 60 minutes, tailored to the student’s level and goals, and focus on building strong foundations, confidence and exam technique. I am a current LSE Law student, and while I do not have formal paid tutoring experience, I have developed strong teaching and mentoring skills through school support roles and university outreach. My lessons are ideal for IB students (preferably in their last year) looking for high-level academic support with a structured, and encouraging approach.
