About Anthi

Many students fear the sciences or find them daunting due to the technical knowledge that they require. I am here not only to teach you about the syllabus you will be examined on, but hopefully inspire a more positive and exciting outlook for the sciences! Despite the difficulties that they entail, we can work together as a team to not only overcome them, but understand why and how these challenges arise and suggest a new way of approaching and thinking about them! Getting to the root of a student’s difficulties is the very foundation of overcoming them and ensuring that students can identify and deal with them themselves after training. This is my main role as a tutor.
As for the syllabus, I can reassure you that I will give my 100% in these lessons and dedicate my personal extra time to helping you excel! This of course cannot happen without time and effort from the student themself! We work as a team, not as individuals.

About the lesson

I like to orient my lessons around the student and curate them according to each student’s needs! I have experience tutoring students with learning difficulties (ADHD, autism etc.). As a tutor I aim to grow and develop my students abilities and expand their knowledge in subjects that they find difficult to understand or have trouble getting good grades in despite their studying. So depending on your needs, we can work with either teaching the syllabus, go through past paper questions and techniques to fill in either gaps in knowledge or improve exam technique. We can also start in the summer to work on the syllabus you will be exposed to in the following academic year to get a head start!
I have 3 years of previous tutoring experience in GCSE & A level Maths, Biology and Chemistry and all my previous students have improved their grades but also their knowledge and appreciation for these sciences!
I have also completed my A levels in Maths, Biology and Chemistry, obtaining A*,A,A respectively! As a biological sciences graduate, I have a deeper and further understanding of them and have found ways to connect these sciences together to gain a wholistic approach to them!
Lessons range typically from 1 hour to 2 hours maximum at a time, depending on what the student needs.
