I would usually do my best to find out the student's understanding of a topic before breaking down the concept into little steps which are easily understood. It is important to be patient with the student and always be encouraging with them- this is one of my main priorities when teaching.
Typically, my typical length of a lesson would be one hour but this can be easily adapted for the pupil. My preferred age can range from primary school to 11+ and even Common Entrance.
