About Carolina
I’m Carolina Vega, a bilingual Spanish instructor with over 7 years of experience teaching students of all backgrounds—from school learners and adult beginners to travelers and professionals. I studied Spanish Language and Culture at the University of New Mexico and completed teaching internships both in the U.S. and in Colombia. I was honored with the Language Learning Innovator award in 2022 for my interactive and student-focused teaching style. My biggest achievement? Watching students go from hesitant “hola” to confidently sharing full stories in Spanish.

I teach Spanish in a way that’s warm, practical, and grounded in everyday communication. I don’t believe in memorizing endless rules before speaking—I help you use the language right away. In our lessons, we’ll start with simple but essential conversations like greetings, family, food, and places you visit often. I introduce vocabulary you’ll actually use, like me gusta, tengo hambre, or vamos al parque, while guiding you through pronunciation and basic sentence structure. We’ll read short, engaging texts, practice listening with native audio, and build your confidence in writing through fun sentence exercises and cultural storytelling. I bring in songs, visuals, and topics that connect to real life, so you can speak naturally and remember what you learn. No matter your age or reason for learning, I’ll help you find joy in every word and steady growth in every class.
