Professor Bell is superbly qualified to teach English, as well as a variety of other subjects. I have seen her work myself; she develops, administers, evaluates and improves educational materials from scratch; or adapts and improves them to specification. Her teaching tools are excellent: accessible, pertinent and successful in imparting the knowledge and skills to master a subject area or a software program. Professor Bell can and has created children's books on hard hitting subjects, and her success ranges all the way up to and including materials for seniors introducing them to computer based applications; a notoriously fraught and anxious process. Word processors, spreadsheets, creative writing, dream journals, the list goes on adding success after success to Professor Bell's list of solid achievements. I recommend Professor Bell without reservation in any area she endeavors to produce literacy, even fluency; whether in an academic subject, a functional program, or skill set related to writing, reading and translation of materials from one form of media to another. I am writing this note as a tribute to Nancy J. Bell and her gifts as an educator.
She has the strongest skills set I have ever witnessed, with all ages. She ran a tutoring program in Detroit, MI., at one time which undoubtedly enriched the brains, hearts and souls of the neighborhood children. The classes were dynamic and filled with many techniques to foster an enriched learning environment. The children learned how to read, do math, writing, cooking meals, planning meals, gardening and planting flowers.
Science and art were incorporated into their everyday learning environments. The children were also gifted the lesson of giving back to others. Whomever signs up for Nancy J. Bell as their tutor will not regret one moment of time spent learning from and with her.
Nancy J. Bell is patient, observant, caring, loving in her messaging and gifted in her delivery.
