About Howard
When I was in Year 4, I had an incredible teacher called Ms Meracis. It was the first time I felt like a real ‘teacher’ understood what I needed and how I myself can succeed differently from others. She really knew that all students were unique and molded her content to fit that fact.
Later, when I was getting selective entry tutoring for scholarships, I met Kerry, a man who I still hold in the highest regard. He taught me that the classroom was not always a ‘torture chamber of doom and despair,’ but a place where both the students and the teachers decide the trajectory of the class.
To this day, even at Melbourne Grammar School, I struggle to find teachers that have influenced me so much.
I want to teach because I was taught well, and because every student has the power to do great things.

I started receiving tutored since at least Grade 1. Although this made me a decent student, it took away much of my childhood. I believe that extracurricular tutoring should be flexible and cheap, while being both high quality and engaging. Online, client’s house, and tutor’s house all work for me.
