About Jane
I am an experienced and patient teacher with over 20 years experience in the UK independent sector. I have a BA Degree with a post grad Higher Diploma in Education and I am TEFL certified Level 5. I tutor because I would like to support each student to reach their full potential. The need for extra tutoring varies; sometimes a student might need some tutoring to help with a section they are having difficulty with; sometimes the student just needs individual attention to boost their confidence or sometimes a student is teaching themselves and they need some support. Whatever your reason is for needing a tutor I will adapt my teaching to meet your needs.

I am passionate about education and do lots of reading and research to stay on top of the latest trends and changes in my subjects. I teach students from the age of 9 years upwards. My teaching subjects are English up to GCSE/ IGCSE; EAl and History up to A-Level. Additionally, I offer Academic/Pastoral support which helps students to organise themselves and sets them up to develop good working habits.
Your first lesson will be a free and will include time for me to get to know you and gauge what you would like to get out of the lessons. This information will aid me in creating personalised lessons best suited to the needs of the student I am tutoring. I believe lessons should be interactive and that students should feel relaxed to engage with the lesson. I believe that confidence is key to my students success and I will do all I can to help them to be confident in their approach to their studies.
