About Julia
Hello! I am currently a Queen's University student in the Consecutive Education program, previously graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University. After graduating, I volunteered in a classroom for 2 years, specifically working with students from K-7 in English, Math, and Science. I have taken workshops in literacy and phonics instruction, and have worked in the field of science/math for 3 years.
I am very hard-working, outgoing, and enthusiastic about learning. I am excited to become a full time teacher and look forward to guiding all my future students towards reaching their full potential.

My teaching methodology begins with getting to know each student and learning about their individual needs. From there, I build my lesson plans to meet the needs of the learner and work with the ways they learn best. There are many different ways to learn and I like to use multiple methodologies for overall comprehension. I will prepare activities and questions that engage the students and find ways to making learning fun! I believe learning begins with the motivation to learn and this is made possible through building relationships with the students. By learnings about their interests, I can find ways to incorporate these interests into every lesson, and build a motivation to learn.
