About Fatima
Hello, My name is Fatima and I am a 20 year old second year Law student. Whilst I achieved a grade 9 in my English Literature GCSE and a grade A in English Literature A-Level, this motivated me to pass on my skills and strategies onto the next generation of students. I currently tutor up to 20 students aged 9-16 at Best Learning Support centre, providing academic support and high-level lesson plans in English Language and Literature. I have also had experience as an academic peer mentor for Year 7 students and an academic tutor for GCSE students tutoring in English Language and Literature. I have helped my students to achieve a Grade 5 and above for their final GCSE examinations with consistent learning and motivation. I believe every student has the absolute potential to achieve their best, which is why I put a lot of dedicated hours into making sure they showcase their hidden potentials.

My lesson structure will include getting an idea on where the student is at with their current learning. I like to start at the beginning and break down everything, this includes what exam board they are with, what exams they'll be sitting, the key focusses in each question, the assessment objectives and mark schemes, and then just progressing from there to the most important part, which are the methods and techniques.
Communication is key, so I will be explaining and talking about a lot of concepts as well as giving them feedback and support with extra materials they can use and work on. I will create digital handouts which will be useful in helping them improve their essay writing techniques and any other techniques they will need to work on in order to achieve the best possible grade.
My favourite strategy involves the most fastest, convenient way of learning, and that is through creating acronyms and making personalised documents to memorise key information. I will mark my students work and give them top level feedback and a very accurate grade according to their examination boards mark scheme. We will work from there and continue to progress until the grade keeps reaching new heights!
