About Tia
Hi! I'm a qualified English teacher from the UK with several years of experience teaching children, teens and adults. I have a First-Class degree in Education and will soon be starting a master’s in International Education at the University of St Andrews. My teaching is all about helping students feel confident, capable, and in control of their learning. I believe learning works best when it’s supportive, flexible, and focused on real-life communication and practical skills - not just memorising grammar rules. I’ve taught in UK schools and abroad as well as held my own private tuition lessons, and I adapt each lesson to suit your pace, goals, and interests. Whether you're preparing for exams or just want to feel more at ease speaking English, we'll work together to make English feel natural and achievable for you.

My experience involves having taught a wide range of ages and abilities including brand new learners of English, so am confident in tailoring lessons to any skill level. I particularly focus on helping GCSE and adult learners feel more confident with English - whether that’s for exams, conversation or everyday use. My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and TEFL-style where appropriate, meaning we would focus on real communication as well as grammar and accuracy. I offer flexible lesson formats including weekly sessions, intensive revision blocks, and focused support such as speaking practice, grammar review, or exam preparation. I’m flexible with lesson times and pricing as I aim to make quality learning affordable, and I always adapt my teaching to suit your goals and learning style.
