About Ashish
I am a qualified teacher with an MSc in Mechatronics from De Montfort University and a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Alongside teaching, I work as an assessor for BTEC Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, which keeps me current with how work is marked and what examiners actually reward.
I also work as an independent researcher in computational mechanics, publishing on structural optimisation, fluid dynamics and biomedical engineering. That side of my work means I can show students where the maths and physics they are learning is genuinely used, which tends to help when a topic feels abstract.
I teach because I find the diagnostic part interesting: working out precisely why a student is losing marks, rather than assuming they simply need more practice. Most students I work with know more than their grades suggest.

I am a qualified teacher with an MSc in Mechatronics, and I assess coursework for a national awarding body. That means I teach to the mark scheme rather than around it, and I can show students exactly where marks are gained and lost.
Lessons run for one hour, or ninety minutes for A level where longer questions need the time. I start with a short diagnostic to find the specific gaps, then work through past paper questions by topic, building method and exam technique together. Students get targeted practice between sessions and I mark it before we next meet.
I teach GCSE and A level, all major boards, and I am happy to work to your child's specification. I also support students retaking, and those who understand the content but lose marks under timed conditions.
