About Richard
I am a Head of Department at a leading independent school in Kent. I have 16 years of experience teaching both Economics and Business at A Level with strong results in both subjects.
Prior to teaching I worked for 20 years in the City of London. I teach and tutor A Level and cover both the Edexcel and AQA boards for both subjects. I primarily tutor online using MS Teams or Skype but can also do in person tutoring locally.
I can focus on a range of student-specific needs including: topic delivery, topic review, critical thinking approaches, lines of analysis, exam technique, essay planning and past paper practice.
In past years, both my classes and tutees have achieved excellent results.

I can cover syllabus material, exam technique, revision and diagram practice as needed. I like to use a lot of past paper questions to help students cover the breadth of material and explore the application and analysis needed in answers to achieve the highest grades.

Richard is a fantastic tutor, always adapting to his tutees specific needs. His previous industry background, combined with his teaching experience make him an ideal candidate to tutor at A Level.
I have known Richard for some years as a fellow teacher and I recommend him as a tutor and teacher with many years of experience. He teaches Business as well as Economics and has knowledge of a good range of exam boards.
He has a patient approach combined with a rigorous understanding of the demands of the exam boards.
I have no doubt he will provide a strong level of support for students who wish to improve understanding of the subject and improve performance.View more recommendations
