About Ellie
I became a teacher because I’ve always believed that science should make sense — and feel exciting. From a young age, I was fascinated by how things work, and I knew I wanted to share that curiosity with others. But more than that, I’ve always loved helping people learn and grow. There’s something incredibly rewarding about watching a student go from “I don’t get this” to “Oh! That makes sense now!” — and knowing I helped them get there. Teaching isn’t just my job — it’s my passion. Whether it’s in a classroom or one-on-one, I’m here to support, encourage, and guide students so they can build confidence, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential in science.

About Me: As a qualified and experienced science teacher, I understand what students need to succeed both in class and beyond exams. My private tutoring isn’t just about “more homework” — it’s about building real understanding, confidence, and results. ⸻ What Makes My Tutoring Different? 1. Tailored to the Student – Not the Syllabus Every student learns differently. I assess each student’s strengths, gaps, and learning style, then tailor my lessons accordingly. Whether they need help understanding tricky concepts or boosting exam performance, I meet them where they are. 2. Simplifying Science – No More Confusion I specialise in breaking complex topics into simple, relatable ideas. Whether it’s physics, chemistry, or biology, I help students actually get the “why” behind the facts. 3. Active Learning, Not Passive Listening Students won’t just listen — they’ll engage. I use diagrams, mini-experiments (where possible), past exam questions, and interactive questioning to keep them thinking and applying knowledge. 4. Exam-Focused, But Not Exam-Obsessed If exams are coming up, I focus on strategies, question types, timing, and practice. But I also build the core understanding that helps students succeed long-term, not just for the next test. 5. Support Beyond the Lesson Need a quick question answered before an exam or test? I offer message/email support between sessions, because learning doesn’t stop at the end of a lesson.
