About Luís
I am a Biologist who has been working with Amazonian large mammals, with a particular focus on big cats. I work with the distribution models of these species and their relationship with changes in climate and landscape cover. This means that I work with maps on a daily basis, which means I have first-hand experience with solving problems you might run into. In fact, I sometimes help my colleagues with questions they have themselves concerning the usage of certain tools to build their own maps.

Assistant Lecturer at the University of Kent, experienced teaching GIS, using ArcGIS Pro and ArcMaps, to students of both undergraduate and MSc levels. My lessons are usually 1-hour long maximum (unless you would like it longer), your focus will probably not get any better beyond that. However, I am also available for small questions from you at any time of the day.
I like to have a hands-on approach and taylor my teaching to the student in front of me. In the last 5 years, I have been teaching alongside more staff and my students frequently tell me I succeed at explaining details when the other teachers don't.
In addition, I can also teach Geography, Maths and Natural Sciences at Secondary, GCSE, A-levels and Adult-teaching levels.
