About Adam
I am a fully qualified teacher with a passion for history, a background in managing SEN students and a passion for literature in schools. Recently favouring to try my hand at tutoring, I wish to instil the passions I have for my subjects like History and English, into my students.
Throughout my time teaching, I have taken great pride in getting to know each of my students, and quickly build a rapport that has always led to not only an increase in attainment within the classroom, but also furthered my students' passion for their subjects.
My first years within schools were spent primarily with SEN students and pupils with behavioural difficulties, and through all of those early challenges, one of the most important aspects of teaching I found, was relatability. Being able to connect with students helps humanise not only the tutor/teacher, but also the content of lessons, and in doing so, students always find themselves making progress and developing understanding faster.
It is these qualities that I forge into my tutoring, ensuring each student receives a quality and personalised tutoring, and with a renewed passion for their studies, something they can carry with them into the next steps of their education.
