About Gill
I am a retired secondary maths teacher with experience in both the private and state sector. Nowadays I tutor students on a 1:1 basis which enables me to adapt to individual needs. I have tutored students of all ages from 7 years to adults and all abilities. I am based in East Yorkshire near Pocklington but I am also available to do online lessons via Zoom.

I am passionate about my subject but appreciate that it is a subject which can cause anxiety for many students. Therefore I always believe in establishing a baseline of understanding with my students to identify misconceptions and gaps in their knowledge. This then enables me to devise a programme specific to each student's needs and enable them to develop and grow in confidence.

I can highly recommend Gill for any maths tuition you may require. She has been teaching my 12 year old son for a number of years now. He is now working at his expected levels. I went to Gill because at the time he was way behind and this was causing him to lose confidence in his ability. Not only has Gill helped him with his knowledge and confidence but he enjoys his regular sessions with Gill. They have a really good understanding of each other, which is lovely.
