About Ellis
I am a Post Graduate qualified English teacher with a Bachelor's degree in English from a prestigious UK university. I have 8 years tutoring experience working with children aged from 6 to adults at university. I have taught in secondary schools, 1-2-1 and in small groups. I have specialist experience working with boys who are under-achieving there target grades. I also have conducted education equality research internationally when I was an undergraduate.

As a result of my wide teaching experience, I feel confident in tutoring students from primary school age with phonics all the way up to university level qualification. I use my large bank of resources to tailor lessons to the individual as I know from my experience each student learns differently. I try to follow a general overview of initial conversation, an assessment of needs and a block plan of 4 lessons which we then review in order to initiate the next block of 4 lessons, building confidence and skills simultaneously.
