About Victoria
I am a qualified secondary English teacher (QTS/PGCE from Warwick University). I have experience in mainstream, alternative provision, intervention work and tutoring. I've been a GCSE examiner, created resources for tutoring programmes and trained and mentored other teachers.
What makes my tutoring different is not only do I understand exactly what students need to do to pass the exams, I'm a qualified counsellor and so really see my students as whole people rather than just grades on a page!
I have extensive experience with the pastoral side of things and have worked extensively with people with SEND and/or SEMH needs. I'm able to meet people exactly where they are without judgement or pressure and help them in whatever way is best for them.

I have a supportive, professional and student-centred approach to tutoring with feedback always focusing on how easy I make it for students to engage with the lesson, even those with extra barriers to learning or who have been out of the mainstream school environment for a long time.
I'm a fully qualified secondary English teacher (PGCE QTS from Warwick University) with over 15 years' experience in teaching, tutoring and intervention work. I've been an examiner and created resources and schemes of work for GCSE exam prep.
I'm also a qualified counsellor, and the active listening and wellbeing side of this informs what I do in education on a daily basis. I see my students as whole people, not just a grade on a piece of paper!
My main specialisms are GCSE exam prep. for all levels and students with SEND or who struggle with their mental health or socially in school. (I also really love working with younger years and A level students, it's just that recently a large proportion of my work has happened to be in a college for students outside of mainstream education preparing for GCSEs!)
