About Daiane

I'm a qualified Teacher of Science (QTS) with a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control from King's College London. I currently serve as Head of Year at a London secondary school and have spent nearly a decade as Head of Chemistry. I'm also an examiner, which means I know exactly what mark schemes reward and where students typically lose marks.

I have a genuine passion for teaching and enjoy working with students of all abilities and ages — from those who need to rebuild confidence and secure the fundamentals, to those aiming for top grades who need stretch and challenge to get there. I hold high expectations for myself and for my students, and I take real pride in the outcomes that individual tuition can achieve.

About the lesson

I focus on three things in every session: understanding the core concept, seeing how it applies in practice, and knowing how it's actually examined. I use a mix of textbooks, exam-style and past-paper questions, and digital resources, and I provide handouts and reading material to support learning between sessions.

Every student gets a tailored study plan with clear, trackable goals — so progress is visible, not just hoped for. All students make excellent progress, with the majority exceeding their full potential.
