About Michael
I am a recent physics graduate with an A* and A in Maths and Physics at A-level respectively. Teaching and sharing enthusiasm for my subjects of interest has always been a passion of mine, and I have previous experience in tuition with multiple students at these levels with great success over my time completing PGCE training to now be a fully qualified Science teacher.

My teaching method is tailor made to each student, identifying and then targeting their weaknesses in a subject to allow them to progress as quickly and effectively as possible.
I preach for a teaching practice centred first in building positive relationships before stressing the significance of consistency and efficiency to improve in their desired subjects rapidly.
Students will always work through a range of questions with my assistance in their initial lesson to assess their ability, from which lessons will be tailored to best suit their ability and preference of learning.

I have known Michael since October 2016, when he started his BSc(Hons) in Physics at the University of Bath. His final results will be known in a few weeks, as Covid has delayed the final year resits, so I can only comment on my interactions with him. I have lectured Michael in Year 2 (unit “Planets and Exoplanets”) and I have supervised his final-year project in 2019/20. Michael was part of a two-person team looking at innovative mathematical processing of underwater acoustic measurements. This work involved learning about field measurements around the world and processing signals from different sources of sound (natural processes such as wind and waves, marine mammals, ships and earthquakes). Michael’s project produced a software to analyse these sounds using bispectral analyses and graphical interfaces; it will be very useful for future student projects and for research. He was able to adapt very flexibly to the change in teaching mode with the Covid lockdown, and he is an easy student to work with. It is therefore a pleasure to recommend him for your consideration.
