About Jade
I am a qualified Primary Class Teacher with 2.5 years of experience in the primary classroom, both as a supply teacher and a class teacher of Year 4 and Year 5 (full time for 1.5 years, supply for 1.5). I was English Subject lead and Nuerodiversity mentor in my previous school, because I know how to securely develop vocabulary and literary confidence across the curriculum. I have a First class in my BA Primary Education (5-11, with English specialism), and a Merit in MA Language and Linguistics with a focus on vocabulary development and language analysis, so I can help you with just about anything English oriented.
As a bonus for Primary learners, I have a secure understanding and exciting ways to teach the entire curriculum, so feel free to enquire about other subjects.

Gaining a secure understanding in English is fundemental to success in all areas of life, at all ages. That's why I aim for mastery, and always embed my teaching in a meaningful contexts to keep it exciting and relevant. Mastery means that means that you will really understand how things work and why, so that you can apply it in all contexts. I can help you to understand the what, where and why of reading, writing, critical thinking and responding to essay questions. I can help you to think more critically, to carefully proofread your work, and to feel truly confident in your abilities going forward.
