About Jake
I am a qualified primary school teacher with six years of classroom teaching experience, primarily across Key Stage 2, as well as previous experience in Early Years and one-to-one tutoring.
I currently teach in a primary school in Kent and also lead Computing across the school. I have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the expectations pupils face throughout primary education.
I am calm, patient and encouraging, and I enjoy helping children build confidence as well as improve academically. I have experience supporting pupils with a wide range of abilities and learning needs, and I adapt my teaching to suit each individual child.

My lessons are tailored to the individual child and designed to build both confidence and understanding. I use my experience as a qualified primary teacher to identify gaps in learning, explain concepts clearly and provide structured practice at an appropriate level.
I can support pupils with KS2 Maths and English, general primary learning and Kent Test/11+ preparation. Lessons can focus on specific areas of difficulty, schoolwork, exam techniques or building confidence across the curriculum.
I aim to make sessions calm, positive and engaging, with plenty of encouragement and opportunities for children to ask questions, practise independently and feel successful.
