About Max
Hi, I’m Max, a qualified mathematics teacher currently teaching at a secondary school in Auckland, New Zealand.
I graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Mathematics-Computer Science and later completed my teaching qualification in New Zealand.
Before becoming a classroom teacher, I spent several years working in education, designing and teaching mathematics and programming courses for students of different ages and abilities.
I enjoy helping students develop confidence in math and discover that they are capable of far more than they think. Seeing students gain understanding, improve their results, and become more independent learners is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
I believe every student can succeed in mathematics with the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies.

I am a qualified secondary mathematics teacher currently teaching at a New Zealand high school and a graduate of the University of California, San Diego (Mathematics-Computer Science).
I provide personalised maths tutoring for students in Years 3-12.
My lessons focus on building confidence, strengthening understanding, and improving problem-solving skills. I adapt each lesson to the student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they feel supported and challenged.
