About Ishan
Currently, I teach Math and Natural Sciences (grade 7-9) at Education Incorporated Boutique School (Fourways, Johannesburg) where I also serve in various leadership roles. Our small school requires us to be a high contributing member of a diverse team and resilient enough to cope well with high-pressure situations. I held various positions of leadership and had the opportunity to work on multi-disciplinary projects including welfare, education, marketing, social outreach, and strategy optimisation. These projects broadened my interests and skills, and I thrived in a dynamic environment working with a diverse team of people. The greatest reward of my welfare work was the opportunity to mould and inspire young people to accomplish something greater than their circumstances allow. I found my projects in education most rewarding, and taught hundreds of classes, delivered talks, and supported over 300 students in their academic development.

I am a forward-thinking Science educator, who is passionate about facilitating learning and inspiring young minds. I work with the CAPS curriculum in Science, Mathematics and Life Sciences within the IEB environment where I develop lesson plans and annual teaching plans, create assessments and resources, and perform hands-on teaching and academic support. I have excellent organisational, managerial, and administrative skills.
