About Therese
I am writing to express my interest and enthusiasm for teaching. I come from a strong academic background and now feel ready to take up the challenge of showcasing my skills in a practical world. Without wishing to exaggerate I am someone who has a mature outlook that gives me a competitive edge in various workspaces. I consider myself to be proactive, resourceful, highly organized and deadline oriented, with the ability to multi-task and coordinate several high priority tasks at any given time. My core strengths include but are not limited to the following: • An aptitude for problem solving. • Superb leadership skills. • Having a high level of commitment to projects. I work on. • Taking constructive criticism well. It is worth mentioning that I have an excellent academic record. In my matric year I have managed to exceptionally matriculate with a bachelor’s pass. I have not only been recognized for my excellent academic records and leadership skills. I am a B.Ed (Teaching Foundation Phase) graduate from the University of Cape Peninsula University of Technology. It is my third year in teaching with 7 years of experience and I love making a difference in children's lives. It is worth mentioning Cape Peninsula University of Technology is one of the best universities that is well known for producing well trained student in their respecting field of study. This asserts to my work ethics which include but not limited to, discipline, loyalty, and diligence. Teaching is my passion. The key to success is Education.

I offer foundation phase mathematics for Grade R-3. Data handling: Collecting, organizing, and interpreting data, and making predictions Measurement: Comparing and ordering objects by size Shapes: Identifying and describing shapes, and sorting and classifying objects by shape Number line: Using a number line to represent numbers spatially Counting: Learning to count Time: Learning how to tell the time Patterns: Creating and extending patterns Algebra: Learning about patterns and algebra Operations and relationships: Learning about numbers, operations, and relationships Space: Learning about space and shape
