About Nomfundo

Hi! I’m Nomfundo, a TEFL-certified English tutor with 5 years of teaching experience. I grew up in a family of passionate teachers, so education has always been close to my heart. From helping with marking to creating lesson plans, I was involved in teaching from a young age—and now I’m proud to be doing it professionally. I currently teach both English and isiZulu, and I love helping students improve their language skills in a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment. Whether you're a beginner or want to boost your confidence, I'm here to guide you every step of the way!

I offer English lessons for all levels—from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Proficient). Each lesson is personalized to your level, goals, and learning pace. Whether you're starting from scratch, preparing for exams, or aiming to refine your fluency, I’ll guide you with patience and clear instruction. Lessons focus on speaking, listening, grammar, reading, and vocabulary, using interactive and practical methods. I aim to make learning enjoyable and effective, helping you gain confidence in real-world communication. Both online and in-person lessons are available, with flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle.

Excellent! Nomfundo is very passionate about her tutoring, patient with my daughter who takes English lessons from her and my daughter is slowly gaining confidence in the language. She gives detailed progress reports which are very helpful .

I am currently teaching Khanyisile's daughter, Bandile. Its truly been a pleasure. Bandile is a wonderful, down to earth student, and i feel very lucky to be her teacher. Although she's naturally quiet, she is attentive, engaged and participates thoughtfully in class. Already seeing encouraging progress in her confidence and understanding.

I highly recommend Nomfundo to give English lessons as she has previously helped my own kids regularly when they were struggling with the language. She tutored them privately and gave them practice work. Within a very short period they mastered English which was a huge challenge at first hence I highly recommend her for any tutoring job especially English as 2nd language
