I am a qualified English teacher with an immense passion for, not only the vast and exciting subject, but the shared experience in delving into the greats of English literature and language with the bright young minds of tomorrow and beyond. The methodology I have found to be the most successful and beneficial for students is to allow a space for individual thinking to search for answers and solutions themselves; I assume the position of guidance in the learning environment, offering advice and knowledge where necessary.
Collaborative learning is also a method implemented in my teaching as team work has proven extremely valuable as utilising peer knowledge can assure greater chances of knowledge retention.
Not only do these methods allow for more efficient learning, but will teach worthwhile transferable skills for pupils to learn and apply to future career prospects.
