About Arina
I graduated from Moscow City Teacher Training University with a degree in Teacher Education, specializing in Foreign Languages. Since then, I've continued developing professionally through courses led by top specialists in the field — including courses on teaching online and methodology for teaching different age groups to make sure my approach stays current and adaptable to different types of learners. I'm also constantly working to improve my own language level.
My teaching is grounded in the communicative and lexical approaches, which focus on real, practical fluency rather than rote memorization. I bring a professional and structured approach to every lesson, while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and supportive. Each course is planned around your specific goals and I track progress along the way to keep things effective and on-target.
You can expect punctuality, clear communication, and lessons that are thoughtfully prepared in advance.
With me, students:
- overcome the language barrier
- stop being afraid to make mistakes
- actively use useful vocabulary
- master the finer points of grammar
- confidently discuss interesting topics

*Teaching method and techniques
My approach combines the communicative approach (focusing on real, practical use of language through conversation, role-play, and authentic materials) with the lexical approach (learning language in meaningful chunks and phrases, not just isolated grammar rules). This means you'll spend more time actually using English — discussing ideas, expressing opinions, and reacting to real content — rather than memorizing disconnected rules.
*A typical lesson might look like:
1) Warm-up discussion (5–10 min) — a quick conversation to ease into English and review previous material
2) Core activity (20–25 min) — this could be analyzing a scene from a film/video, discussing a psychological concept, or working through a text/dialogue tied to your interests
3) Language focus (10–15 min) — extracting useful vocabulary, expressions, or grammar patterns from what we just covered
4) Wrap-up & personalization (5–10 min) — applying the new language to your own life, work, or opinions, plus a look ahead to next time
*What sets me apart
I build lessons around film and psychology — so instead of generic textbook topics, you're discussing themes that are genuinely engaging (and often directly relevant if you work in a psychology-related field)
Lessons are fully tailored — I adapt to your learning style, goals, and pace rather than following a fixed curriculum
I create a relaxed, judgment-free space — many students tell me they feel comfortable making mistakes and speaking freely, which speeds up real progress
*Who this is for
My lessons are best suited for intermediate to upper-intermediate learners who already have a foundation in English and want to build fluency, nuance, and confidence — rather than starting from scratch.
They're a particularly good fit for:
Psychologists and mental health professionals who want English for reading research, attending conferences, or discussing their field
Film lovers who enjoy learning through storytelling and analysis
Anyone who wants lessons that feel like genuine conversation, not rigid drills
