About Florentia

As a committed English teacher in a school and a private tutor, I strive to inspire my students to reach their full potential. I believe in going above and beyond to support each individual’s unique learning journey. Currently pursuing my PGDE, I have already achieved my QTS and PGCE, equipping me with the tools to create an engaging and effective learning environment.

About the lesson

I embrace a student-centred approach that prioritises individual learning styles and fosters a love for discovery. I believe that education should be engaging, inclusive, and relevant, so I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to express themselves and take risks.

I begin by assessing each student’s strengths, interests, and areas for growth. This allows me to tailor my lessons to meet their specific needs. I incorporate a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, collaborative projects, and real-world applications, to keep students engaged and motivated.

To enhance critical thinking and creativity, I encourage open dialogue. By asking thought-provoking questions and inviting students to explore topics in depth, I empower them to take ownership of their learning journey. This approach not only builds their confidence but also fosters a lifelong love of learning.

Additionally, I value the importance of feedback and reflection. I provide constructive feedback that highlights students’ achievements while guiding them on areas for improvement. By cultivating a growth mindset, I help students see challenges as opportunities for development, instilling resilience and perseverance.

Ultimately, my goal is to create a dynamic and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
