About Yatish

I am an Engineering Graduate with a strong passion for mathematics and education. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have used mathematical and analytical skills to solve complex problems, and I enjoy sharing this knowledge with young learners.

I decided to become a tutor because I believe every child can succeed in mathematics when concepts are explained clearly and patiently. I find great satisfaction in helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals. Whether a student is preparing for the 11+ examination, Grammar School entrance tests, or aiming to strengthen their Year 6 maths skills, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing their abilities.

My goal is not only to improve grades and exam performance but also to inspire students to think logically, enjoy learning, and develop skills that will benefit them throughout their education and future careers. I take pride in seeing students gain confidence, become independent learners, and reach their full potential.

My Approach to Tutoring

As an Engineering Graduate with a strong mathematical background, I aim to make mathematics engaging, understandable, and enjoyable for every student. My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored to the individual learning needs of each student.

Teaching Methodology
I begin by assessing the student's current level, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Concepts are explained step-by-step using clear examples and real-life applications where appropriate.
I focus on building strong foundations before moving on to more advanced topics.
Lessons include guided practice, independent problem-solving, and regular feedback.
For 11+ and Grammar School entrance preparation, I use exam-focused techniques, timed exercises, and past-paper practice to build confidence and improve performance.
I encourage students to ask questions and develop logical thinking rather than simply memorising methods.

Primary School (Years 5-6): 60 minutes
11+ / Grammar School Preparation: 60-90 minutes
