About Jessica

I’m a qualified primary school teacher from Australia with a genuine love for reading and writing. I’ve always been passionate about language, and I especially enjoy helping students become more confident, clear and expressive writers. Whether it’s improving grammar, refining structure or strengthening essays and creative pieces, I bring a supportive, detailed and encouraging approach to every session. I have extensive experience preparing students for standardized tests—particularly NAPLAN—and know how to break down the criteria in ways that help students feel confident and capable under pressure. I’m also highly skilled at proofreading and helping students polish their writing for clarity, purpose and tone. Currently based in Ireland on a working holiday visa, I’m excited to offer remote English support to learners of all ages. I believe everyone has something to say—it’s just about finding the right words and the confidence to use them.

About the lesson

As a qualified and experienced primary school teacher from Australia, I offer personalised English tutoring for learners of all ages. My lessons focus on building confidence and clarity in reading and writing, with a flexible approach to suit each student’s needs and goals. Whether we’re working on writing structure, grammar, creative writing or exam preparation, I provide step-by-step guidance and constructive feedback to support real progress. I often follow a gradual “I do, we do, you do” approach—modelling techniques, practising together, then supporting students as they apply skills independently. I’m especially experienced in NAPLAN preparation and know how to help students understand what’s expected and how to succeed. Lessons typically run for 45–60 minutes and can be easily adjusted to focus on specific questions, tasks or writing pieces. No matter the level, I aim to make each session supportive, engaging and tailored to help students feel confident in their voice and ability.
