About Emma

I have taught English Literature and Language for 14 years. I have tutored in excess of 15 students in the past few years; all of whom have achieved the grade they were aiming for. I have had recent grade 9s and moved a number of students up by at least two grades during their tuition with me.

About the lesson

As an English teacher with 14 years' experience, I use a range of techniques to personalise my lessons to my students' needs. I am an examiner and have been a Head of Department so I have an excellent understanding of the curriculum and how to enable students to meet their potential.

I am a passionate and dedicated English teacher with 13 years' experience. I have been an Assistant Headteacher and an examiner. I build fantastic relationships with my students and am driven by their success.

I teach English and Literature to GCSE and have taught A Level and media studies in the past.

I have 9 GCSEs
3 A-Levels
A PGCE
Certificate in school leadership

- How much do you charge?

I charge £30 per hour but will charge a fee for travel if it is outside of the county.

- Where do you teach?

I teach via Skype, in local libraries or at the student's home. I live near Stroud in Gloucestershire and am willing to work in the local area.

I work in Royal Wootton Bassett.

- When are you available?

Evenings and weekends.

- Which ages and levels do you teach?

GCSE, some A Level, grammar school entry exams, SATs prep, exam skills and improving English skills at any level.

At an agreed time and through plenty of email communication, all payments are taken by bank transfer. Skype works well.
