About Sophie

I have experience teaching all over the UK for 20 years and have run a successful art department for 8 of those years. I have worked with all student ages from 4-18.
I have worked with many exam boards, created exhibitions of students' work, prepared students for exams and interviews. I have worked with all abilities, all needs and created successful projects within the wider communities around schools. Friendly and only want the best for my students and to see them thrive. I left my school position to start my family but have continued to enjoy teaching in small groups and 1:1 which I find extremely beneficial to the students instead of the large class sizes we see in schools and colleges.

About the lesson

Transform your child’s creative potential with tailored, expert art tuition. I am a highly experienced, friendly art educator offering premium 1:1 and small-group art lessons designed to help students thrive.
Why Choose My Tuition?
20 Years of Expertise:
Former Head of Art (8 years) with a proven track record of teaching students aged 4–18 across the UK.

Tailored Learning: Specialized in adapting to all learning needs, abilities, and styles—delivering the individual attention that large classrooms miss.
Community & Exhibition Experience: Passionate about showcasing student work and building confidence through community-focused art projects.
What I Offer:
Targeted exam support and technique development
Creative portfolio building for school admissions and interviews
Engaging, age-appropriate projects for primary and secondary students
