I am a qualified accounting lecturer and professional accountant with hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial records, and accounting systems, alongside extensive experience teaching adult learners.

I help learners understand accounting in a practical, real-world way, linking exam content directly to how it is used in businesses. This approach builds confidence, clarity, and strong results — especially for learners who struggle with theory-heavy teaching.

About the lesson

Learners often come to me feeling confused, discouraged, or convinced that accounting “is not for them.” My role is to change that.

I specialize in teaching accounting to learners who need extra support — whether due to language barriers, confidence issues, or past exam difficulties. I teach at your pace, explain topics in plain English, and revisit key areas until they make sense.

You are encouraged to ask questions freely, and topics are explained again until they make sense. You can make mistakes without pressure and build real understanding. Together, we focus on clarity, exam technique, and steady progress — because passing is possible when learning is done the right way.

Details

Exam-focused booster sessions are available for learners preparing for AAT exams or resits. These sessions focus on exam technique, practising exam-style questions, and building confidence.

For AAT Level 2, the rate is £23 per hour.
AAT Levels 3 and 4 involve more advanced topics and exam technique, so the rate may be slightly higher. This can be discussed during the free 30-minute introductory session.
