About Tanishq

Hi, I’m Tanishq! As a postgraduate student at Queen Mary University of London, I have spent years deeply immersed in the world of academic writing, research, and critical analysis. Navigating advanced higher education in the UK has given me a profound appreciation for the power of the English language—not just as a tool for daily communication, but as a gateway to academic excellence and professional success.

My mentor professor suggested I use my skills to teach other which brings me here.

About the lesson

My Lesson Structure: How We Will Learn
Every session is structured to maximise your time, keeping things interactive, clear, and highly focused on your personal goals.

1. The Welcome & Warm-Up (First 5–10 Mins)
Progress Check: We start with a brief review of what we covered in the last session to ensure the information actually stuck.

Q&A Window: A dedicated space for you to ask about any tricky homework questions, essays, or English concepts you ran into during your week.

2. Core Skill Concept (25–30 Mins)
This is the "deep dive" portion of the lesson, focused on the day’s specific objective:

For Grammar: We unpack a specific structural rule using clear, real-world examples (no confusing jargon).

For Reading & Literature: We read a selected passage or classical text together, breaking down the subtext, themes, vocabulary, and historical background line by line.

3. Guided & Independent Practice (15 Mins)
Interactive Exercises: You will put the theory immediately into practice through live writing exercises, analytical prompts, or speaking drills.

Real-Time Feedback: I coach you through errors on the spot, helping you polish your syntax and build immediate muscle memory.

4. Review & Action Plan (Last 5 Mins)
Session Recap: A quick summary of the key breakthroughs and takeaways from the hour.

Targeted Homework: I assign a small, highly relevant task (a short reading, a quick writing prompt, or a grammar drill) to keep your momentum going before our next session.

My Teaching Philosophy: No two students learn the same way. Whether you prefer deep analytical discussions about classic novels or highly structured, visual grammar drills, I adapt this pace to match your exact comfort level.
