About Lam

I'm a student currently in the rigorous IBDP program at Queensland Academy for Health Sciences. Being enrolled in the rigorous IBDP program means I have to take on numerous challenges and perform at my best day in day out. This required me to develop study techniques to perform at my best academically and embrace the academy life. Some of my personal achievements: - 3rd place in MLTAQ Speaking Competition - Chinese (non background) - Gold Medal HKICO Primary 6 Heat Round 2020 - 2021 - Silver Medal HKICO Primary 6 Final Round 2020 - 2021 - Coded the robots for the winning team of MakeX Competition 2021

About the lesson

I like to focus on helping understand each student's needs and struggles and help them embrace their flaws and improve them over time, not try to hide it.

Study techniques are tailored to students with their unique skillset and traits.

My strongest subjects are Math and Computer Science, but can help with other subjects and study techniques.

Tutoring year levels 7 - 10, and students looking to join the IBDP program but unsure of where to start.

Each lesson typically is 45 min - 60 min.

Strong math intuition and can learn fast, understands things well when he can see the methodology and derivation rather than just using a formula without explanation. Overall, strong intuition just needs more targeted practice specifically harder word problems and understanding how formulas work rather than memorizing to reach top grades.
