About Michael
I have been an avid reader and writer all my life. My skills have been honed at entertainment websites, magazines and literary agencies. I earned my bachelor's in English literature and creative writing at Goucher College and my master's in publishing at Pace University. I have a year and a half of experience from previous online tutoring in these subjects.

I like to quickly establish what assignment or what topic the student wants help with. Then ask questions to figure out exactly how or why the student is having trouble, so that I can quickly devise a plan to grow their understanding.
I strongly prefer using illustrative examples and plain language to demonstrate techniques and concepts. Throughout the lesson, I ask prompting questions about what we have covered to ensure the student is making progress.
My lessons are geared towards high school and college students who already have some proficiency in the subject, and who seek help with a particular topic or assignment. I am passionate about English, literature and writing. It is a privilege and a pleasure to help students improve and grow their appreciation.
