About Stephen
I have published two books with Penguin/Random House, written for Rolling Stone and other national publications, and taught writing at a San Francisco State extension class. I've also tutored high school students preparing personal essays for college applications, and conducted memoir writing workshops at Rancho La Puerta. I bring more tha n three decades of professional experience in writing and teaching to my work.
