About Olivia
I am a 21-year-old female who is friendly and patient. I am a very hard worker, with the belief that hard work and perseverance alongside support can assist students in achieving their goals. I am a student with extra time and understand that each student is unique in their processing time. I believe with dedication and assistance every student can achieve a top grade.
I am currently employed as a Psychological research assistant at an Ivy League university. I perform statistical work, and literature reviews and offer support in experimental work.

My approach to tutoring follows the past papers' technique. Following this method students will learn the important concepts and required details (marking points). Repetition of this technique reinforces the central and crucial items. My experience as a tutor has identified this method to be beneficial, especially for students who struggle with knowledge application. I encourage my students to make revision sheets, including but not limited to mind maps, of topics within their own time. This is important preparation for the lesson. However, when students express difficulties or present poor understanding lesson time will be dedicated to the comprehension of topics. Exam practice also helps develop evaluative skills. This is important in questions with higher marks (for example, 16 mark questions).
I offer 1-2 hour lessons remotely/online or in person within the Newcastle area. I am offering A-level tuition for ages 16+. I have previous experience tutoring A-level students in the subjects of Psychology and Biology. I obtained grades A*A*A in Psychology, Geography and Biology A-level study (AQA exam board). I am a Psychology (BSc) third-year student at Newcastle University, who has obtained 1st class grades within her 1st and 2nd years of study.
